NPF Warns Recruitment Candidates Against Fake Training Notice
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has disowned a purported press release claiming that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, had directed the commencement of training for 50,000 newly recruited police constables.
The Force described the document, which is currently circulating and bears the name and designation of the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, as false and unauthorised.
In a disclaimer issued by the Nigeria Police Force, members of the public, particularly candidates participating in the ongoing police recruitment process, were urged to disregard the contents of the purported release.
The Force advised recruitment candidates and the general public to rely only on information published through the official Police recruitment portal and verified communication channels of the Nigeria Police Force.
The NPF further disclosed that it had commenced efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for generating and circulating the fake document.
According to the Force, appropriate legal action will be taken against anyone found culpable of producing or disseminating the fraudulent document.
The Police therefore urged the public to exercise caution and verify recruitment-related information through official NPF platforms before acting on or sharing such information.
