Oyedele Arrives in Bangkok to Lead Nigeria’s Delegation at IMF/World Bank Meetings

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, ahead of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group.
Oyedele will lead Nigeria’s delegation to the meetings, scheduled to hold from October 12 to 18, bringing together finance ministers, central bank governors, development partners and other global economic leaders.
The annual gathering will focus on global economic developments, financing priorities and strategies for achieving sustainable economic growth.
Nigeria’s participation comes as the country continues efforts to strengthen macroeconomic stability, attract investments and ensure that ongoing economic reforms create jobs, expand business opportunities and boost productive activities.
Oyedele’s engagements are expected to provide opportunities for Nigeria to discuss its economic priorities with international financial institutions and development partners.
Further details of the minister’s activities and Nigeria’s participation will be announced as the meetings progress.
